Rose-Shaped Apple Cinnamon Pie Recipe (Resep)
After seeing the video from one of my favorite Chef John from Food Wishes on Youtube, finally I decided to make my own, though I saw some people did it on Pinterest but the video is so much easier to follow.
Rose-Shaped Apple Cinnamon Pie Recipe (Resep)
Ingredients:
- Royal Gala Apples or Granny Smith
- puff pastry
- 5 tbsp sugar or as needed
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- a pinch of salt
- melted butter
Directions:
- Sliced the apple thinly and diagonally
- Place the sliced apple on a plate and microwave for about 1 to 2 minutes until the apple is pliable or you can also soaked the apple in a salted water
- On your working counter, place the puff pastry. Cut the pastry around 4-5 cm width and 20-25 cm long. The longer the pastry, the bigger pie you'll get
- Brush the pastry with melted butter, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture, place the sliced apple overlapping one to another just like in the video, here or full version on Youtube.
- Fold in the puff pastry covering half of the apple, and roll up
- Seal the end with egg wash or water, put it in muffin tin.
- Bake in a preheated oven on 200C for about 20 minutes
