Honduran Quesadillas ( Cheese cake/bread from Honduras)
This traditional cheese cake is eaten mostly at Christmas and is also refferd to as cheese bread.
The taste is very much like cornbread but with parmesan cheese mixed trough it.
This bake is to some also known as Salvadorian Cheese cake and is classed as a sweet and savory cake.

Ingredients :
2 ½ cups of sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1 ½ cups of warm milk
1 cup of rice flour.(or white flour if you wish)
5 eggs
2 cups of grated parmesan cheese
½ cup sugar
¼ cup flour
¼ cup of crushed nuts
Step 1:
Beat together the vegetable butter/ Ghee and the 2 ½ cups of sugar until creamy.
Step 2:
Add the flours, mixed with the baking powder, slowly adding small amounts of your warm milk.
Step 3:
Beat the eggs, one by one, keep beating and add the cheese to your mix. Stir till your cheese is mixed in well.

Put this mixture on a greased and floured baking dish or loaf tin and put aside.
Step 5:
In another bowl mix the ½ cup sugar, the ¼ cup of flour and the nuts then sprinkle this second mixture over the dough into the baking dish or loaf tin.
Step 6:
Bake it in a medium hot oven for around 45 minutes, until it is golden on top.
Step 7:
It is cut into squares or slices and is to be served cold.
Tip:
In the same dish strawberries or other fresh fruit can be served to give color to it and an extra taste.
Now in Honduras they would say " Disfrutar de su comida" which meal;
"Enjoy your meal"
